Meet Dr. Amanda Mickelson – Owner Of Selby Animal Hospital
Selby Animal Hospital is owned and led by Dr. Amanda Mickelson, a second-career veterinarian, first-generation college graduate, and proud cat mom.
Before veterinary medicine, Dr. Mickelson built a career in healthcare operations and business leadership, including nearly a decade at Target Corporation. She later followed her long-standing passion for animal medicine, graduating from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021.
As a medical director in small animal practice, she led improvements in medical standards, equipment, team development, workflow, and client experience. Selby Animal Hospital brings that experience together in one independent practice: strong systems, high standards, and care that stays personal.
